New Purchase - KHC

On April 27, I added to my position in KHC. I initially purchased 100 shares in 2012 for $45.60. At the time, the yearly dividend was $2.00, which gave me an initial yield of 4.4% (very close to the current yield).

- KHC: 50 shares @ $58.00, +$125 dividend, 4.3%

My yearly dividends now stand at $11,107.

  1. I am a fellow shareholder of KHC as well. It is a great company with a strong brand portfolio. I'm considering lowering down my basis as well.

    Congrats on the addition!

    1. Thanks Bert.

I was on seekingalpha earlier this week and the comments show a lot of negativity on this company. Many don't like to debt levels and some say there hasn't been much innovation. It will be interesting to see how they grow. After things fell through with Unilever, I suspect they have been looking for other merger possibilities. But at current price levels, mgt may be better off paying down debt and building cash reserves. I'm sure some would like to see share buybacks, but I'm not a big believer in those.
