Caterpillar Increases Dividend


On June 12, CAT increased its dividend from $2.08 to $2.40 per year, or 15%. My yield on cost is now 2.46% after a 15% dividend withholding tax; I hold CAT in my TFSA.

At the end of 2012, my forward 12-month dividends were $3,598.76. With new purchases and dividend increases, they now stand at $4,850.93, an increase of $1,252.17.

  1. ADY - Another nice div increase for you - well done! I have had quite a few increases this year, but some have been on the meager side (NVS and TRI to name two).
    I bought CAT for my wife a few months back around $81, and thought about buying it for myself. However, had my eye on BBL (which I bought) and APD (which I could have bought in mid-$80's but did not, and it has since taken off - oh well...).

    1. Great price on CAT. I would like to add more but the price hasn't dropped enough. There is no growth in earnings forcasted for next year and the price is holding up. Maybe later this year. I'd also like to add to my DE. I missed out on APD too, so i'm keeping my eyes peeled for other deals. Take care.
